What we calculate

Our member layers use the same astronomy formulas scientists use: Jean Meeus’s Astronomical Algorithms and NASA JPL planetary data. Birthplaces are located with GeoNames data (CC BY 4.0). We find where the Sun, Moon and planets truly were on the day you were born, and your birth date marks a real point in Earth’s 365-day journey around the Sun.

Ancient wisdom

The idea that “all is number” is traced to Pythagoras and his followers, and the letter chart we use is named after him. Numerology, astrology, the Chinese zodiac and the Maya calendar are long traditions people have used to reflect on timing, purpose and the people we are drawn to.
